About Me
Brenda Trust is a skilled hydrologist and water resources engineer with a strong background in soil and water resources management, hydrological modelling, and the application of nuclear techniques in agriculture, water and environmental monitoring. She holds a Master’s degree in Hydrology and Water Resources Engineering from IHE Delft in the Netherlands. She is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Plymouth – United Kingdom, where her research focuses on validating portable gamma-ray spectrometry for spatial mapping of soil properties which includes fieldwork across the UK and Uganda. She combines practical field experience with advanced modelling and analytical skills, making her a valuable contributor to both technical and development-oriented water and environmental projects. With experience of over 5 years spanning Uganda, Germany, Austria, and the UK, Brenda has contributed to a range of projects involving hydrological assessments, groundwater-surface water interactions in Germany, isotope hydrology, and soil quality assessments. Her expertise spans a broad range of technical areas including surface and groundwater investigations, hydrological and hydrogeological surveys, soil-water interaction analysis, and the application of nuclear techniques in environmental and agricultural contexts. She has worked with the Ministry of Water and Environment – Uganda, FAO/IAEA Soil and Water Management and Crop Nutrition Laboratory in Vienna, supported climate adaptation research, and engaged in high-level international platforms including IYNC2024 and SB60 Bonn Climate Conference. |
